1. Service description
KisoDesk provides typing lessons and practice, progress tracking, statistics, rankings, and social features related to learning and practising touch typing.
By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Use.
Features may change, be updated, limited, or discontinued during the development and operation of the service, always in accordance with applicable law and without affecting non-waivable rights.
2. Age and eligibility
To create an account and use the service independently, you must have reached the legal age of majority under the law applicable in your place of residence.
If applicable law requires additional capacity, authorisation, or age requirements, you must meet them before using the service.
The service is not directed to minors. If you are a minor under applicable law, you must not create an account or provide personal data on your own.
3. Account and security
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for protecting your credentials or access methods and for signing out on shared devices.
- You must not assign, sell, transfer, or use another person's account.
- You must report any unauthorised access or security incident through the contact channel listed in these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
By using the service, you agree to follow these rules:
- Do not interfere with the security, availability, or operation of the service.
- Do not extract data, automate requests, scrape, overload the infrastructure, or bypass technical limits without authorisation.
- Do not harass, impersonate, deceive, or attempt to obtain information from other users.
- Do not upload, reproduce, distribute, or use content without sufficient rights to do so.
- Do not use the service for illegal, abusive, fraudulent, harmful activities or activities contrary to these Terms.
6. Intellectual property
The software, design, interface, text, exercises, images, audio, trademarks, logos, and other elements of the service belong to their respective owners.
Access to the service does not transfer intellectual property rights in the application or its content.
Content available through the service may only be used to practise typing and use the application's features, unless expressly authorised or subject to a different licence.
7. Availability and changes
The service may be interrupted, limited, or modified because of maintenance, updates, security, technical failures, operational changes, or causes beyond KisoDesk's reasonable control.
Relevant changes will be communicated when reasonably possible.
KisoDesk does not guarantee any specific improvement in speed, accuracy, academic performance, job performance, employability, or any other particular result from using the service.
8. Suspension and termination
KisoDesk may limit, suspend, or terminate an account when there is a violation of these Terms, abuse of the service, a security risk, unauthorised use, harm to other users, or illegal or harmful activity.
When reasonable, the user may request a review of the measure through the contact channel listed in these Terms.
Termination, suspension, or limitation of an account does not affect obligations or liabilities arising before the measure.
Deletion or retention of personal data associated with the account will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice and applicable law.
9. Liability
The service is provided according to its current availability and operation.
Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights granted to users under applicable law or excludes liabilities that cannot legally be limited.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, KisoDesk will not be liable for indirect damages, interruptions, data loss, or harm resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, misuse of the account, false or outdated information, failures by third parties outside the service, or the user's violation of these Terms.
The foregoing does not exclude liability for a legal violation attributable to KisoDesk, wilful misconduct, bad faith, gross negligence, infringement of non-waivable rights, failure to meet security obligations, or improper processing of personal data.
10. Applicable law and contact
These Terms will be governed by and interpreted under the law applicable to the service controller, without prejudice to any non-waivable rights users may have under the law applicable in their place of residence.
Nothing in these Terms limits the user's right to contact competent consumer protection, data protection, or other applicable authorities.

5. Rankings and social features
The service includes rankings, profiles, and other social features.
These features may display an alias, speed, accuracy, level, progress, online status, last activity, or typing statistics according to the available preferences.
When an account is created, certain social features are enabled by default. You can disable them individually from your profile. Your real name and email address are not published, and presence or shared statistics are shown only to accepted friends as described in the Privacy Notice.
